Surely you have not actually tried a G3 with Panther. I have almost every flavor of G3 Desktop that has been made and with almost every way to set one up. I also have older machines, that have been upgraded to G3's, that are also running Panther. I have yet to find any of them, that run Panther , to be unstable, especially the imacs. I have 233's , 266's, 333's, 350's, 400's, 500's , & 600's. All of them run rock stable with 10.3.5 . Granted, the older ones ( tray loaders ) had to have xpostfacto and a firmware update to get Panther on them, but once it was, they all have run it just fine.
