Hi again - Well it's fixed and the darn HP 1300 laserjet works - but I'm not sure how I fixed it. I went to an HP website and found some troubleshooting ideas - really I thought I'd already done those same things already. But it is now working, and I printed from PageMaker and also some text/scanned stuff from Photoshop. Whoopee!
