Why the Jerk-off seller won't leave feedback until
you the buyer leave feedback really bugs me.

I strongly disagree, and this is based on logic.

I buy and sell quite a few things on the Swedish version of eBay
(it's got a much better interface www.tradera.com)

How does the seller know that an auction is good before the buyer
has left feedback ?!?

Many people I buy from give me positive feedback as soon as I've paid,
but what if I behave like an arse when I get the product, or when I
sell I say that I am not responsible for the postal service. If I post
and the product never arrives, tough luck as I've stated this in the
auction, and then the seller comes down on me regardless.

Nah, the buyer gives feedback first to show that the auction is
satisfactory and then the seller knows that everything went well.
