Hi All,

So the story as I have heard it is that Apple developed firmware which they claimed would make the B&W more stable but which also made it so it would not function with a G4 zif chip. The reason being was that the Yikes! is a B&W with a G4 zif chip and Apple wanted to increase sales.

So where can one find the Yikes! firmware? It seems that if one were to install it in a B&W it would be able to run a G4 zif. Does anyone have knowledge of this and where to download the firmware?

Thanks,
                Anand
