Why is it that children aren't allowed to read the Bible in school, but areI have had a similar situation on my B&W G3/350. I was using an Apple Color Sync monitor. It would start up and run with a beautiful clear screen right to the point when the screen went black. The monitor power light would be on but no video. I tried other video cards, unplugging and re-seating everything. I then tried it on another B&W G3 with the same results.
Needless to say the problem was eliminated by procuring another monitor.
The problem one now resides under the table and supports other items
that need a final home.
Someone mentioned dust/dirt buildup. I guess I need to take the case
off the problem monitor and check. Who knows I might have a spare
monitor that I didn't think I had.
My recommendation; Test your monitor on another computer. That way you either eliminate or confirm the monitor as the problem.
