Will any G4 ZIF card go straigh into the B&W ???

 - Quick Answer is Yes...

But... Each ZIF has its own settings... For example.

B&W has a FSB of 100 MHz
Install a G3-233 Zif you will have to lower the FSB to 66 MHz Install a
G4-1000 Zif (sonnet) you will have to lower the FSB to 66 MHz, or does the
ZIF auto magically do it?

Some ZIFs have Jumpers, some have switch blocks, some have no jumpers. Some
Autodetect settings and some you need to play with the mother board jumpers.
For a B&W you will have to install the latest apple firmware 1.1f??? I think
and then apply a BIOS HACK. The B&W can accept a G4 but by default the G4 is
disabled in the BIOS... (Apple's great marketting once again)

To make a long story short... READ THE MANUAL THAT COMES WITH THE ZIF or you
may have an crater where the ZIF used to be...
