Finally got that wifi orinoco gold card for my Lombard. Have a wireless router, and it worked perfectly (with the Orinoco software for OS 9).
I've been reading up and don't quite understand how I can access free wifi networks (like Panera bread, etc.). I just turn on the Orinoco software and it'll find it? I downloaded the software that supposedly locates it, but it says "no airport card installed."
Any help would be much appreciated.
The Orinoco card looks to the computer the same as an Apple Airport card. But if you are using the Orinoco software then it won't work with software that is expecting the Airport software. I would try uninstalling the Orinoco software and installing the Airport software.
