Rich,
Do you mind telling us how to edit the plist to accomplish this? I was
going to upgrade from Final Cut Express 1 to Final Cut Express 2, but
didn't because of AGP issue.
Thanks

Open the FCE2 package by hoding down the control key when you click on the
package. Open contents and load the plist into text edit. Look for the line
that specifies AGP. Replace AGP with pci and save. That's all.

There are a few issues with FCE 2 that concern me. One is files are not
backwards comatible with FCE 1, so if you upgrade a project, which you can do
just by loading it in 2 and checking OK, you are stuck in 2. Exporting video to
iDVD isn't as convenient as in 1, which is odd. Used to be you could save a
project as an Final Cut movie and it would save very quickly if everything was
already rendered, just a couple of minutes for a half hour movie, sometimes. It
was just producing a reference file that could be imported by iDVD. But FC
movie isn't an option anymore and exporting files for iDVD needs to produce a
Quicktime movie which seems to take a lot longer. I don't get it but I'm
tending to want to work in the older program since the advantages of the newer
one aren't that useful to me.

My two cents.
Rich
