you may get it working, you can be extremely lucky or extremely unlucky with lightning. it's possible the board swapping worked just because it cleaned the connectors when they were unplugged and plugged back in. it's also possible that one of the bridge chips (i think there are 2) is flaky. thorough testing with good software is definitely in order (and definitely let the test software loop overnight if possible). i've also seen equipment hit by lightning, or a surge from not too near lightning slowly fail piece by piece as i kept replacing failed parts (until the third time any way). but there's a good chance you were lucky so it's worth a try, just run all of the diagnostics over and over, and if you have access to a volt meter check the power supply outputs as it likely took some of the surge and a flaky power supply with marginal output voltages can cause all kinds of erratic behavior. good luck, you have a good chance.
