160 GB drive listed as 149.1 GB?

As the subject notes, I got a 160 GB drive which I installed. Disk 
Utility lists the drive as having a capacity of 149.1 GB. Is this 
normal or did I do something incorrectly? I have the drive installed as 
a slave. My other internal being the Master. I do note that disk 
utility lists my 120 GB external drive as being only 115 GB and I know 
there is always some seemingly missing GB, but an 11 GB difference for 
the 160 seems like a lot compared to the only 5 GB difference of the 
120.
