I need to move files between two Macs.
So I took out my trusty book (The Missing Manual Mac OS X Panther by David Pogue 1st edition) and decided to give target mode a shot.
I have two G4 AGP towers (both running 10.3.x) connected with a firewire cable (6pin).
I keep the first one on and and try to start the second one with the 'T' key pressed after the chime.
Instead of showing a bouncing yellow Y-shaped Firewire icon the machine just shuts itself off.
Don't tell me I just wasted $30 at Best Buys for this cable.
What am I doing wrong? Anyone?
