> Yes, everything works except sending mail when I am connected to66.59.162.166. I get the message "I said: USER mchapman And then the POP server said: -ERR Unable to connect to external server."
When I am connected to 66.59.162.165 everything works fine (Sending, receiving, internet access, telnet, etc.).
I'm confused by your use of "connected to" here. Do you mean, a PPP session? or do you mean, when you dial in via PPP, you get these two different addresses listed as your router/ gateway, it varies with each call?
Yes, this is what I mean
If any of these, it sounds like something is funny with your ISPs configuration (could be DNS, could be other things) and you should try and politely find someone technical to email or talk with about it.
I have tried without success. Recently they have started saying things like "Oh, you have a Mac" as if that explains everything. Even though everything worked until they added sender authentication in September. I have it turned on in Eudora but still sending only works through one gateway/router (is that the right language). Thanks for your help.
