I have, of course, a blue drive... sigh...

Saturday I can try it on my friend's Beige G3 running 10.2.8 with a USB card. I actually bought it for her so she could sneakernet some work files from a PC back home to her Mac and so on... She will have some different floppies to try out... This is not supposed o be more trouble than it is worth...

If her PC at work has USB ports, have her get one of these (or one of the many many competitors):

I second these flash drives. I am still using a 64meg one that I have run through the washer and dryer on more that one occasion and it still works fine. Do not try that at home, I am a professional (klutz). Of course, YMMV.

Also check out dealram for the latest and cheapest prices for them.

http://dealram.com/prices/37/1GB.html

They list 1G starting at $73.50 shipped and 512meg for $44.01(also 32 and 64 meg for $16).

The big question about this possible solution: does the older Windoze PC even have USB? I will have to find out, but you are right, a flash drive would be an excellent solution.
