Otherwise, it looks like it'd be a great card, while leaving other PCI slots available.
It's a wonderful card, unless you one of the poor suckers who bought opne, and stuck it in an affected G3, then the system won't boot with the card in it.
I used it in my 7600 for a while before I got the G3.
As for plain ATA cards, I like the SIIG ata-133 card I got from OWC. Real nice.
