Now I want to copy or move the e-mail and the Bookmarks to a new

the Admin account to the new user account.

First question, do you really need to move these to a user account? You could create a new admin user and then change this user to a non-admin account and just use it as a user.

Clark, thank you for showing me this alternative, very appealing. I've looked in David Pogue's Missing Manual book and see how I can do that. The only wrinkle is that the "short" name of the Admin account does not match the intended "user" which I want to be a joint thing between me and my wife. It seems that I can create the new Admin account, also a new user account with the short name that works for us. But then can I kill/delete the original Admin account?

A recent MacAddict (10/04) article shows exactly what you need to do to edit the short name.
