I myself only use Acard ATA-cards. From 8500/120 to QS 800/DP. No problems!
I'm in the Netherlands (so why having problems in the UK?). Most companies
sell and ship Euro-wide now. Mail me OffList for adresses if you cannot find
any Acard-seller in the UK.
