Hey folks: More Beige problems. I have a Beige with a G3/300 from a B&W that I just upgraded to 450MHz. I have the jumpers set correctly for 300, I get the start up bong, HDD spins, I wait and no video, on known good Monitor. This system was running when my wife tripped a breaker with a blow dryer on the same circut. It wouldn't start up completely after that. A couple of time I got booted to disk utilities on a 9.1 CD. It has a LG CD-RW burner in it, not natively supported in 10.2 . I can't get it to boot off a 9.2.1 CD. I thought maybe the onboard video is shot, so I swapped in an old Xclaim 8 meg Video card, nope. Changed CPU's, nope. Changed VRM, nope. Changed Ram, nope, pulled Rom card and reseated. Swapped out HDD from known good, Nope. I guess I can try a different standard Apple branded CD drive. Anybody got any ideas? I've hit the Cuda several times. I can't get the Pram to reset when I Ctrl-Cmd-P-R, it won't reset. Maybe I should pull the battery for overnight? Anyway any ideas would be appreciated. This system is going to a friends younger brother for Christmas to allow him to store music files for his iPod. I have a FW card for it but haven't installed yet.
