I've seen this stated several times before "they are read as 256." Does this mean they are only utilized by the system as 256MB (half the RAM) OR that if you look in ASP that's how it will appear but you still get the full RAM operation?
No, only half the ram is seen by the system, and this is a recipe for instability. Beige G3's cannot utilize the high-density ram on the bigger sticks.
