Subject: Re: ZIFs
For a while, I was running a 450 G3 ZIF (more than likely for a B&W)
in a beige with no problem even overclocked to 500. I now have the
same ZIF in my B&W running at 500 and it operates fine and it sure
beats the 350 that was in it and overclocked to 400. I haven't ever
been around a G4, though I would like to try one someday in my B&W,
but the firmware must be updated to allow it.

Bryan

Go for the G4. If you do any video or graphics work you will be very happy.

The firmware update is easy. It only involves running the updater and upon restart, pushing the programmers button until the machine chimes 3 times, IIRC. After that you're good to go with a G4 ZIF.
