Hello,
I have a Beige G3/G4 500. Sonnet Trio. Radion. 10.3.6 768MB Ram.
I was given an iSight as a early Christmas Present.
When the camera is first plugged in all is well and works as it should.
With in 5 min. however the picture scrambles and looks like a TV with bad vertical hold with horizontal banding.
This happens repeatedly regardless of the processor load or other running applications.
Restarting iChat AV and re attaching the camera do not rectify the picture.
The only cure is to unplug and wait for a period. Then on reattachment the scenario repeats.
I've tried it on another similar Beige...exactly the same outcome.
I've taken it to the Apple store and it works fine with an approved system.
Any ideas? Do any of you have the iSight working with an unsupported computer?
