Lite-on CDR and CDRW definitely work well with the Beige G3 series but alot of companies sell them like Buslink or cendyne which are usually cheaper. Sometimes you can't tell from the box if it is a Lite-on but if it has a LTR-xxxx number, it should be Lite-on. But sometimes they use their own number. So you won't know till you open the box. Also, I've had good luck with the MicroAdvantage DVD Burners in my Beige G3 desktop, particularly the earlier one that was only 4x speed. The later models needed flashed on a PC, due to various problems. But the 4x times model is the best I've used so far. I do have a 466 mhz upgrade, so don't know if that's necessary.
