Can a person ruin a CD-RW so that it won't allow it to be reburnt?
My CD-RW that I burnt last year with hopes of reusing, say it is locked and
can't be erased.
I had used Toast on OS9 originally to burn them.
I tried to use the OSX software and saw no options for reburning, so I tried
with my daughters OS9 toast... Says the disk is locked.
If I ruined them, what was I suspose to do to keep them rewritable?
Whenever I use a CD-RW, I do a complete erase with Toast.
I believe there is an option to do a "quick erase" using Toast, but a dialog comes up saying that using the "quick erase" option on the CD-RW can only be written to by Toast.
Using the complete erase option allows the CD-RW to be burned by any software.
I hope my explanation wasn't too muddled.
