Hi:
Quick but not necessarily easy question. I just bought 2 Palm Tungsten C
PDAs. I have my house setup with an Airport network. I haven't called
Apple yet or Palm with my question yet but I'm maybe looking for an answer
from one of you smart people here. The Palm has built in Wi-Fi support and
is supposed to be able to connect via this wireless setup. But when I go to
set it up, it finds my airport network but there is a little lock icon next
to it and it asks me for a password. I've tried all kinds of variations of
the different password formats (all based on different security options).
I bet it's an issue of using ascii vs. hex WEP passwords.
I know we've successfully set up wifi on Tungstens here at the college, but our WEP expected to be in hex.
Also, check to make sure you're not restricting MAC addresses on your airport in addition to WEP.
