I agree, QE is basically a waste on PCI, there are reasons why Apple didn't do 
it themselves.  I tried it out of curiosity on my B&W w/ Radeon 7000 and it 
caused stability problems from the get-go.  That being said, I believe that 
xlr8yourmac.com has info on re-enabling it under 10.3.7.  Personally, I think 
you are asking for trouble mixing system files from different versions of the 
OS.
