GASP!! An ISP willing to admit that it was THEIR PROBLEM???!!! Why are these miscreants still in business??? This is a clear violation of rule 7 of the ISP creed:
"It's always the stupid customer's fault. They just haven't re-installed Windows enough times."
That is one of the reasons I stayed with erols (the original posters isp), even when there were cheaper alternatives. Besides being local to me back then (they started out as a TV repair shop), they acknowledged and welcomed Mac users. They even had a couple of Mac only techs, whose main job was to get first timers settings correct, since that was the only thing needed. Well that and the occasional "trash the TCP/IP preffs".
And since the Mac techs were not just level one script readers (is it plugged in?, It is not a cup holder, It is not a foot petal), but at least level 2 or 3, it was pretty easy to get them to admit when the DNS or mail or news servers were down.
