<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
If there's any third party apps that can accomplish
the sidewindow view, I'd love to hear about it.
As for the dock, I know there's launcher, but I'd like
something a little more sophisticated.
My favorite classic-running Macs feature two personalizing elements,
Menuette <http://www.tigertech.com/menuette.html> and TaskMenuBar <http:/
/home.netcom.com/~kawahara/taskmenubar.html>. Menuette is for appearance
only and won't necessarily help click efficiently.
TaskMenuBar allows one to create a customizable launchbar within the OS8-
9 menubar that works just like the dock. I find it is more convenient to
use than the OSX dock, and with a small effort can also assume the role
of your favored sidewindow view.
The result of using both of these shareware enhancements is a menubar
that's populated with icons and no words, silent movie style, if you will. ;-)
Happy New Years and best regards.
