Hi, I just upgraded my beloved 300MHz Beige G3 desktop to OS X 2.8, 4MB video memory, and 256MB of RAM.
I have a question about the RAM - I have heard OS X is a memory hog, and would like to have enough for optimum performance, but also recognize that when only running at 300MHz I'll probably run into empty memory pretty quick. I am planning to replace one of the 64MB's with a 128MB, bringing total up to 320MB - and I wonder if going any higher would be pointless.... So, how much to upgrade to? Is there a way (formula?) to know how much to upgrade to until you would hit empty memory? Thank you, greg __________________________________________________________ Lèche-vitrine ou lèche-écran ? magasinage.yahoo.ca -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
