OK, folks I know that this is a heap o' work, but highlight the parts of the original message that you want quoted, then hit reply.
Go to the bottom of the quoted text, click once to move the cursor then hit return. You're ready to rock and roll with your reply. AND IT'S BOTTOM POSTED without all of the superfluous BS that so many of you are cluttering up the list with these days.
This takes about 3 or 4 seconds longer than just hitting reply. I know that many of you won't have the time for this, however.
If you're in digest mode, don't forget to change the subject line to what you're replying to.
Yeah, I don't get what all the whining is about either. Top posting annoys me - always has - so I bottom post. And yes, I use Mail.app. It's not like it's hard to reposition the cursor, and it is good for to edit quoted text before you send, regardless of whether it's a private message or a list message.
