Yeah, Eric, you can use two non equal volumes. Keep in mind that the RAID portions of the drives will only be as large as twice the size of the smaller drive. The rest of the larger drive will be wasted.
For maximum capacity use two drives of equal size.

Thanks J.B. I hope I'm not bothering you too much about this... if I am, let me know. After your response, Bruce sent me a link to the KB (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106594) about RAID. If I'm not misreading it, the paragraph for RAID 0 states if the drives are of unequal size, the size of the smaller drive is what is used on the larger drive. I guess that would waste a lot of space if there was a large difference in size between the two.
