Sounds like a plan to me. File and web service really isn't processor bound. Make sure it's running on a UPS; APC's systems even have OS X software included to shut down and reboot if the power goes off.

Yes, I feel the same as I have a 15" at work, but my problem is that I can only afford a second hand one, compared to a new iBook, and a new Mac is always a new Mac...
