That Sawtooth also supports Firewire TDM, so connect the firewire ports of the two computers with a cable, and start up the Sawtooth holding down the T key. Then that systems' disk will pop up on the QS as a drive.

Firewire Target Disk Mode. TDM allows the computer to appear as a hard drive on another machine.


I use it anytime I need to transfer huge amounts of data between my machines, because Firewire's 400Mbps is significantly faster than my 100baseT wired LAN, and the effect is heightened when I switch from my 802.11b wireless network.
