Perhaps you can explain to me, very carefully, what the point is in
discussing things that the Mac cannot do on the G-list.

Personally, I feel that people should discuss whatever they like on the
list, provided that there's a potential benefit (however oblique) to be had
from the knowledge.  I guess that's why I don't understand why telling me
(time and again) what my box can't do is perceived, somehow, as a "benefit."

If my box can't do what I need it to do, I'm capable of discovering that on
my own.  I don't need a third party to point out such deficiencies.

I'm beginning to suspect that you are a sales rep for "other platforms."
Frankly, that's the only motivation I can think of to explain all of this.
