80G ATA hard drive. 7.9 g OSX, 30~G OS9.1, 30~G Scratch
Have 3 CD/DVD drives (ATA)
The various volumes show up on the 'desktop', The CD/DVD drives only show if there is a mountable volume inserted in the drive.
I.E. the CD is a R/W unit. I put in a blank disk - Not knowing just what to do with the unmountable disk, I lose all access to the drive. Even to be able to EJECT the disk! Very annoying.
One of the DVDs is also a R/W unit.
Question, HOW is it possible to identify and select between the two R/W units to 'Burn' a disk in OSX?
Also a very annoying problem --- IF I use 'Boot disk select', I lose any chance of getting at OSX, unless I do a reinstall of OSX .2 and then the upgrades to 10.2.6, and then 10.2.8. This is enough of a problem that I haven't tried booting 9.1 because I'll have to do the whole 3 hours of install/upgrade again.
Any hints/help appreciated greatly!!!
