The high end guys who do graphics for TV and film need lots of power to render
what they have made in Maya or some other 3D miracle, especially in HD TV or
theatrical film. I have a relative who is in the business and he says they have
'render farms', rows of machines that do nothing but finish what they have
wrought. Seems to me that a stack of minis, 5 of which would cost less than a
high end G5, would be excellent candidates for render farms.

Does anyoone know how a render farm works? Is there some networking software
that shares the task around?
