You mean you're getting that error when you select Sherlock from the Apple Menu?
No, when I tried to open the prefs.
You don't launch applications by opening their prefs.
If so, then that's just an alias that's probably broken. The real Sherlock app lives in the Apple Extras folder, I believe.
Nope, it's in the System folder, all on its own.
Sherlock should NOT be *in* the System Folder.
It should be in the Apple Extras folder, or some other application folder, or the Apple Menu Items folder.
So how the heck do I disable the indexing?
Launch Sherlock directly. Change the prefs from within it.
If you've corrupted the prefs, then trash them. Then launch Sherlock...
