Thanks to everyone who contacted me, on and off list.

To clear up some confusion, it's the inside metal chassis that
I couldn't get to swing up (no problems with the outside case/
cover or PCI card cover and flipping out the support stand).

I downloaded the Apple Service Manual (thanks Fabian). On
page 7 of the Take Apart Chapter, it states, "Use a
screwdriver to push out the tab indicated in the illustration.
Slide the latch forward and lift it from the chassis." That
might be what I missed... but the illustration is a bit
confusing -- it looks like the front latch, which seemed to
be released, not the back latch which also seemed to be
"released", but the chassis was still "stuck" in the back.

As far as a sled/mount, screws and cables, I've got a
large box of parts and screws (as well as my old Mac II and
IIci to steal from -- yes, I'm a recovering pack rat) and I
noticed the extra power cord dangling inside the case.

With my current schedule, I won't be able to try again until
next Tuesday. With the Apple Service Manual, I'll go in for
the attack and let you all know who (or what) wins.

Thanks again!

Cheryl
