Here's a question from somebody brand new to OS-X.
Since nested folders don't open separately in X, but just just keep opening up in the same window as you go deeper and deeper into the "nest," let's say you want to drag an item back into one of the previous folders (one or more levels back, or up). How can you do that, since the previous folders' windows are not visible?
Switch to column view.

Seriously, any time I find a folder like that I always switch it to another view. I came to OS X from NeXT, so I prefer column view.
