Subject: x+9.2=?

Hi. I am now contemplating going from 9.2 to x on my
trusty beige g4'd/500, in order to have native burning
support for either cdrw or dvrw. Is it necessary to have both 9.2 and X.x installed, or
is just X sufficient? Thanks.
Jason

You will need 9.2 if you want to run any Classic (OS 9) software. No need to
install if you will be running X native software only.

I would agree here, being a recent convert, well almost a year now, I still boot into classic frequently. Mainly for Photshop, Illustrator and a few other expensive programs I just don't have the funds to replace right now.. And the fact that on my G3/300/768 9.2.2 is freakin fast, while Jag runs nicely it's no where near as fast..
