I did discover a couple of things that may be helpful with speeding things up a bit on the iBook. Go into the Control Panels of XP and turn off automatic updating for Windows XP and any virus protection software you have installed. That keeps those programs from bogging down the system, looking for updates, every time you start up VPC.
It also provides for that delightful 'real windows' experience as your VPC turns into a sludgy morass of spyware and viruses ;-)
