>> Anyone have experience working with Corel Graphics Suite apps, v10 or 11...?

>> Since Corel has stopped producing Mac versions of their Graphics Suite apps it seems possible to get real bargains on bundles that include them. I'm not terribly concerned with lack of support or anything like that, just want to know if anyone considers them worthwhile apps for semi-serious creative work...and/or if the learning curve is too steep for Average Joe, etc.

And *much cheaper* is definitely what I'm looking for.

I'd hoped so, and it's good to hear someone else say so.

Just the kind of info I need, thanks! I'm gonna try to do most of my own printing, but of course on some projects that just won't work. I was already thinking I'd need to save as PDF's anything I'd need to take to a pro shop for printing.

To further clarify my situation/needs:
I already have and intend to make extensive use of Graphic Converter X and Expression 3.3. I'm specifically interested in pretty much completing my tools set with Allume's Creative Essentials bundle, which includes CorelDRAW 11, Corel PHOTO-PAINT 11, Corel TRACE, Daz Productions' Bryce 5, and Toon Boom Animation's Toon Boom Studio Express. May also dabble in 3D with Blender and an assortment of shareware tools.

Anybody else have relevant input?
