Yes, there are differences in the power supplies , but that is for the most part the only physical difference.
The std. Sawtooth board uses a 20 pin power supply connector vice a 22 pin in the Gigabit board. The Gigabit allows you to utilize the dual processor board and due to that, the power supply is different.
I am in the process of making the same conversion to a Sawtooth , myself.
