The best book that I have found is 'Final Cut Express2 Editing
Workshop' by Tom Wolsky. There is also a great discussion list on
the apple support discussions. Tom Wolsky answers many questions
there.
It's more like Final Cut Pro.

If you can't get this to work, let me know. I use FCE on an old iMac 400.

Hey folks,
Is there any way around the AGP requirement to run Final Cut Express 2? A
friend of mine has a B&W and she bought FCE 2 w/o checking the
requirements.
It somehow installed just fine, but when we start it, it gives us the error
message that she's missing an AGP graphics card. Her B&W is running on a
G4/500 (she won't let me oc the thing =P), OS X.3.8, 512MB RAM,
and 120GB HD
space.
Thanks in advance!
We got it to work! Now my job is done my friend has to figure out how to
use it. "It sure doesn't look like iMovie", were her first words when it
loaded up.
