Hello to everyone, I finally have a reason to sign up for this list. Thanks to the Mac Mini introduction and corresponding drop of used Mac prices, I was able to buy a Sawtooth for two bills. So I finally own a G4. :-)
Anyway, I was wondering how large of a hard drive will the hard drive controller take on a Sawtooth? Also is there any way around the limit through partitioning, using firewire or another work around? I am trying to get around buying an expensive (to me) PCI card to use a large drive. If there is no alternative, is there a cheap controller that people would recommend? I still have my Beige G3 on my network, but it will only take a 120 meg drive. Even with a third party Firewire card it would only recognize 120 gigs of a 160 meg drive. Thanks for any help you can offer, Bob -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
