Using Google, I found an interesting article on the Keychain that relates to your problem.


Apparently the Keychain can become corrupted and Apple has a Keychain First Aid program. (Also if the Keychain's overall password has been changed, then the Keychain will not be opened automatically when you log in to your computer.)
