Well, repairing permissions didn't work for me--my Polaroid slide scanner still won't work anymore under X. Anybody know where I might find an OS-X-compatible driver for a Polariod SprintScan 35 slide scanner? In OS-9 it works through a Photoshop plug-in, and in OS-X it continued to work when running Photoshop in Classic mode (Photoshop 4 only works in Classic mode).
It worked fine until the 10.3.8 update. Now in X, when I choose the scanner in Photoshop (Import > SprintScan 35) a dialogue box pops up telling me to re-install the SprintScan extension or check the SCSI cables. So, now I have to drop back into OS-9 to use the scanner. > Drat.
VueScan might work. <http://www.hamrick.com>
