I'm not a disgruntled employee. I just know their policies. I, at times, get kicks enforcing policies. like a 24 wait period between the time you drop of your Fry's warranted computer and when you can pick up a loaner. I'll never get fired from there because although I can make it hard for the customer it's Fry's policies that I'm upholding, and thats what they pay me to do. That and fix computers.
I'm not a jerk, and in all actuality I only uphold the policies when the customer is being a jerk. Other than that I'm pretty cool, and do all sorts of stuff for free.
But it's that power thats given to every employee at Fry's who, at any given time could decided he/she has something better to do than sit and talk to you, that makes me tell everyone that Fry's although they can have good deals (Stay away from GQ) their customer service is no where near the level you'll find at EVERY other electronics dealer.
Yes, stay far away from the Fremont store, that and the Sunnyvale, and Palo Alto store. I've found the best ones are Las Vegas, Portland, and Concord. But I haven't been to the one in Atlanta, so I couldn't speak for them. The rest of the stores I'm impartial to. Thank god you don't have to go to the old Fremont store! that place was absolutely awful!
