If you want a good quality firewire drive at a good price, then I would
recommend transintl.com. They aren't by any means the best looking (cosmetic)
drives, but neither are they hideous. You'll see identical drives (literally)
from other sources, but those other sources seem to always have higher prices.
I presume Transintl is making them and those other places are just rebranding
them, but don't quote me on it. They have a slightly annoying web site, but the
products and prices are good. I have one of their Firewire 400 drives and it
has always worked great for me. The case has no fan (and no need for one), so
they are as quiet as the drive. I recently bought one of their portable 2.5"
drive firewire/usb2 cases, but I haven't put anything in it yet - it's going to
get the drive out of my Powerbook (which is to be replaced with a 100 GB 5400
RPM Seagate drive.)
