I'm probably in the minority on this, but I find Expose to be nearly useless. Well, I do sometimes use the clear away everything from the desktop mode, so that is occasionally useful, but the main expose modes I find cumbersome and slow to use (finding the window you want in the array of windows shown is not a fast process, at least it isn't for me). It does look cool, though. :) I find it much faster to find the window I want, if I can't see it, via control-click/right-click of the app icon in the Dock, or even just via command-~ to cycle through the app's windows.
Maybe it just takes some getting used to. I used to think the same thing about Expose, but now I use it every day, nearly every time I sit down at a Mac.
Because I need F7-F10 for another app, I remapped the Expose keys to: - F1 = all open windows - F2 = current app's windows - F3 = desktop
This also allows me, a right-handed mouse user, to keep my left hand on the keyboard (for cmd-tab, cmd-~ and Expose keys) and my right hand on the mouse, and to get lots of fun things done.
In some applications (say, StickyBrain 2), Expose is not as useful, but in others (say Timbuktu, Safari, Mail) it is extremely useful. And I find the "show desktop" and "show all windows" modes very useful as well.
