I did play around with Xounds for a while and still have it installed on my
iMac but have largely abandoned it.  All of those little sound cues reminded
me too much of my hopefully soon forgotten PC days.  Now, what I DO like is
the spoken user interface.  Nothing is better when running an app in the
background when Vicki comes up and says "Excuse me, such and such app needs
your attention!"  Now that's what sound SHOULD be for!
