Acceptance and mastery of change is the key.
I would gladly accept the change, in fact welcome it since I'm currently trying to live in 3 different worlds. A quick, stable, but antiquated OS 9.2.2, a quirky, prone to crashes classic mode (OS 9 quits) , and an elegant, beginning to impress me OS 10.2.8.... that crashes constantly. About half are kernel panics and 1/2 display the restart notice in different languages..
Good ram (checked it), just added another 512 mb from OWC to the 256 mb already in my 450 Mhz Dual Processor "Gigabit Ethernet". Funny thing is I just installed OS 10.2 on a new to me, G3 Wallstreet. It runs much quicker, smoother and without crashing, leading me to believe I may have one of those "mystery machines" that just won't run on X. Any help out there ?... the mastery part eludes me.
